BMW Museum
I'm off to Munich next week and was wondering if anyone had heard an annoucement about a date for reopenning the BMW Museum ?
It was temporarily re-housed until December last year in the Olympiapark. That has now been closed as they move the exhibits over to their new home. BUT IT'S NOT OPEN YET !!?
Anyone heard anything encouraging?

If you're interested in BMW, there is still a lot to see in Munich, even without the museum.
The brand new and fabulous BMW Welt is open to the public, and you can also sign up for a visit to the BMW factory, which is right across the street from the Welt.
For car lovers both the Welt and factory are well worth a visit.

Just back from Munich and the BMW museum wasn't open. It's a shame as I would have like to have seen the vintage motors.
The BMW Welt was just a huge car showroom and I'm not that excited about new cars.
Although the architecture of the new building is worth the journey out alone.
It's right next to the Olympiapark which is itself pleasant to walk around and a ride up to the top of the Tower is a must.
Amazing views. Especially with a sun setting over the Alps.
I'll have a trip report done pronto at www.colin-julie.com/travel.htm
