Blessington as a base for powerscourt & glendalough?

I am thinking of using Blessington as a base for a few days, to tour Powerscourt & Glendalough - going on from there to Kilkenny for a few days. <BR><BR>Any opinions? Suggestions for B&B's??<BR><BR>thanks!

Dont,<BR>You are on the far side of the wicklow mountains and the roads are crap,unless you go via rathnew it takes 1-2 hrs via small mountain roads ,Bray Or Greystones would serve you better

Really? Since I am coming from the Athlone area, won't it be easier to stay on that side? <BR>
