Le Clos des Gourmets is wonderful but not if you're not adventuresome. Most of their menu were foods my husband would not eat (giant squid, lamb's foot, pidgeon) but he loved the red mullet. Les Olivides was one of the best meals we had (and we had 13 wonderful dinners in June) and it was the best Grand Marnier Souffle we've ever had. It is not inexpensive-dinner with a bottle of reasonable wine was E160. I also vote for Bistrot du Breteuil. We found the food be very good, the selection was a adequate, the service friendly, the decor kind of nice in that red velvet kind of way and the best value in town. For E32 it included a Kir Royale, entree, main, dessert, coffee and a bottle of decent wine. Maybe we just hit it right as we also heard no other enlish spoken while we were there; then again, maybe the fact that we make dinner reservations for 9:00 accounts for that. Be sure to reserve for any of these places. Have a great time!
