BHV right by the Hotel Deville(sp). It's huge, maybe 6 floors....has everything from plumbing fixtures, crown moldings, paint, great kitchen linens, purses...it has it all.The clothes selection leaves something to be desired but the rest of the store is worth the visit. I only wish that I could go shopping there too

It depends on what kinds of household items you want. The basement is a treasure trove of stuff for the DIY crowd--fixtures, drawer handles, etc. For kitchenware, I prefer Samaritaine--I thought the BHV stuff was not quite of the same quality as Samaritaine's (specifically, I was looking at sets of enameled cookware).

hi
I am looking for fabrics and decorative items (decorative paint...) For kitchen stuff I thoughtt I would visit Dehillerin.
I also like Samaritaine but I have heard a lot about BHV on this site that I thought I might pay it a visit.

We were shopping in Paris in May and loved BHV. Give it a try, I don' think you'll be unhappy. My husband is a builder so he enjoyed it, but so did our college age daughter.
