Best way to reach ferry/hydrofoil port from Naples Centrale
Hi-
We will be arriving with one large rolling suitcase by train to Naples Centrale next week. We would like to take the ferry to Capri for the day and then ultimately take the ferry to Amalfi where we will get a taxi or bus to our hotel in Praiano.
Can someone advise the best way to reach the boats from Naples Centrale Station? Also, is there someplace near the port in Capri to store luggage for the day? Thanks.

There is a tram or you can take the Alibus (a few euro every 20 minutes). Trams can be packed and targeted by pickpockets. Watch your belongings.

If you are talking about a day trip, I don't think it's a good plan. Ferries from Capri will not run late (last ferry about 7 in summer). I don't know that there will be any storage in Capri. I would travel on to Praiano from Naples (Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento, Sita bus on to Praiano). Schedule a day trip to Capri another day when you have more time and don't have luggage to deal with.

Taxis in Naples can be set fees (you must ask for this before getting in and get receipt). A taxi would not be much as the port is close to Napoli Centrale. It appears to be 11€ and they may have a baggage charge (1-1.50€ or so).
