Naples to Capri
Hi All! My fiance & I are leaving for our honeymoon to Italy in September. Our first stop is the island of Capri. We had reserved a flight to Naples & it was originally scheduled to arrive in the early afternoon. Now the airlines have changed our flight is to arrive at 6:30 at night. Is this too late to catch a ferry to Capri? Do you need to reserve the ferries online or do you purchase a ticket when you get to the port?
What are good taxi services in Naples that will take us from the airport to the port? I don't want a taxi that is overpriced!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so so much!

I believe there is scheduled ferry service until about 9/9:30 p.m., but there are enough variables that I would probably stay in Naples the first night.

Your flight could be late, baggage claim could be slow, and passport control (assuming you're coming from out of the Schengen zone) could take more time than expected. Then you need to taxi to the ferry dock. If there are certain weather conditions, ferry service could be suspended.
The stars could align for you, and you might get to the dock in time. But if you don't, you'll pay for a Capri hotel night you can't use AND pay for a Naples hotel night. If you bought the ferry ticket in advance, you'd eat that cost too.

Train to Naples, taxi to ferry dock, ferry to Capri.
Or private driver from Rome to Naples ferry dock, ferry to Capri.
Or private driver from Rome to Naples ferry dock, private boat to Capri.
It's your money, so you get to decide which is the "best way."
