best way to get between copenhagen and amsterdam?

hello! i'm in the very early stages of planning, and would fly into copenhagen from new york, and return from amsterdam. what is the best way to get between the two? how long? cost?

This is information about going the other way but gives you links on train info. It's about an 11 hr train ride by the way.

You could break it up by doing overnights in Cologne and Hamburg.

otto,

What is your definition of "best way?"

Fastest? Cheapest? Most scenic? Most open to interesting side trips?

Do you prefer to fly, drive, train, or float?

If you look at the link I attached to my post you'll see all the alternatives. You can always find distance information on www.mappy.com too.

hopscotch, i guess speed would be my interest. we'd be flying from new york, and splitting the week between copenhagen and amsterdam. and would not be inclined to take side trips, or a long ride between the two. it looks like i will have to explore flying. thank you all!

otto,

Good choice. It is a long boring trip by train or car.

thanks. i figure now, i'll have to book a flight w/klm jfk-amsterdam connecting to copenhagen. on the same ticket, have a one way copenhagen-amsterdam flight a few days later, and a return amsterdam-jfk flight.

Very nice, efficent and easy to get to/from either downtown to respective airports. Flight was about one hour. Would do it again!
