Best way from Chamonix to Milan Train Station

We are planning a two centre holiday. First stage is to walk the Tour de Mont Blanc finishing in Chamonix. We then need to travel to Florence where we plan an artistic focus. I have already bought a train ticket from Milan to Florence. The train leaves Milano Centrale at 15.15. Any suggestions about best means and best route between Chamonix and Milan?

Bus or taxi to Geneva, then fly.

By all means check on bahn.de whether you can train it (or, more likely: bus or cab it to Geneva station, because the local trains can take forever then train it): you might just be able to do it in time, though it probably means getting up v early.

But you WON'T be able to get the lift to Italy, the bus changing at Courmayeur to Aosta then the train to Milan in time to catch a 1515 train.

There is a bus service from Chamonix to Aosta - Euros 15 a ticket - see http://www.chamonix.net/english/tran...us_to_cham.htm

Then there is a bus/train service from Aosta to Milan - enter details into http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/homepage_en.html
