Best time to visit Provence

Given the choice for three weeks in Provence - either September or October - which month would you chose?

We spent the last three weeks of September 2006 in France. Our first week was in Paris, 3 days in Normandy, and the remainder was in Provence. Absolutely beautiful!Enjoy your trip!

My vote also for last 3 weeks in September - still warm, days still long, and number of visitors has eased significantly.
