We just got back from Paris about two weeks ago. We had our 12 year old daughter with us and she loved going up in the EIffel Tower at night. We bought our tickets just before 10:00 PM - no lines at all on a Thursday evening. By the time we got to the top, darkeness had fallen and it was beautiful to see Paris by night.
