Best route for spain

Hi all,

I'm flying in to madrid, then have plans to go to these cities: Seville, Granada and cadiz, then next stop is San Sebastián.

My Seville-Granada-cadiz route is not set yet, and I'm wondering which of these cities is easiest to get to San Sebastián. I would like to fly or high speed train to San sebastian, which is the best city to leave from?

Hope this makes sense.

I can't answer your main question, but do note that many (not all!) things in Spain are closed for very long siestas, and are also closed on Mondays (all day) and on Sundays after noon. So be sure to check the hours of places you want to visit to make sure that your routing lets you see what you want to see.

Check Iberia and Vueling to see from which cities in the south fly to either Donostia or Bilbao. Donostia is one hour by bus from Bilbao.

The train would be a convoluted route.

KJA-I have not seen siestas and Mondays interfere with transportation in Spain.

@ IMDonehere -- Right. That's why I noted that I wasn't addressing the OP's main question. Nonetheless, I thought information about closing hours might affect the OP's decisions about when to go where, and so encouraged checking hours before finalizing a route.

Direct low cost flights from both Sevilla and Malaga to Bilbao twice a day. Direct bus from Bilbao airport to San Sebastian in 70 minutes. No direct flights to San Sebastian from any airports in Andalucia.

No direct flight from Granada to Bilbao, but Malaga is only 90 mins away: http://www.theguardian.com/travel/20...rs-restaurants

... and no high speed AVE train to San Sebastian, so our options seem to be 1h 30 mins direct flight from Sevilla or Malaga to Bilbao, and then 75 mins PESA airport bus to San Sebastian (every 30 mins and 17€) or a 60 min and about 150€ taxi ride.
