Looking for recommendations for the best place European country to visit in January! I have to host a meeting for people coming from all over Europe, so it should be a hub city that is easy to access flightwise.

Frankfurt definetly fit's your requirements. It's centralized also.

For having fair weather you might want to go south; Rome, Barcelona, Madrid, Malta.

Of course, you can always consider Athens, though I don't personally like it. Also Istanbul is a possibility.

My favorites, though, would be Vienna if the colder weather is OK, and Marseilles if you want it warmer. Good luck.

Frankfurt is a hub airport city for Europe, but is very boring, IMO unless all you are doing is sitting in a conference room all day. London would be a better choice, and is a major air hub. Vienna is not really a major air hub. London would be more expensive in terms of accomodations and meeting space.

No part of Europe is really warm or sunny in January. London of course offers a ton of things to do and see at all times of the year.

Rome would definitely be great! Very temperate, and devoid of mosts tourists! Still a lot of great stuff to see, plenty of hotels, and food doesn't cost a lot.
