I would do a search here rather than wait for people to re-post. There are literally thousands of suggestions.
And you'd need to say what "not too expensive" means to you, and what sort of food/experience you're looking for.

Agree with StCirq. Also, something I haven't see before here: I have a list called "A Selection of 80 Inexpensive and Good Parisian Restaurants (French Cuisine Only)" published by Paris Eiffel Tower News around 2006 (so may not be completely up to date). We have liked the handful on the list we have tried so far. I don't see it anymore on their Web site, so if anyone wants the pdf file (22 pages, by arrondissement) email me at [email protected]

Okay to narrow this down, what are some good non-expensive restaurants located within walking distance of the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, the Notre Dame and the Musee Rodin?
And by non-expensive I mean 25 euros and under.

Near the Louvre (between the Louvre and Angelina) on Rue Rivoli--The Welcome Cafe. They have lunch specials and the waiters all speak very good English.
There is a food court and shops underneath the Louvre.
le saut de loup in the Musee des Arts Decorative is very nice (my friend who works at French Vogue goes there with people from work),normally expensive but you can order something for under 25 euros.

We really liked La Oriental on Avenue Trudaine. Really good chicken Cous-Cous and chicken pastry. With 1/2 litre of house wine, cost was around 35 Euro. Go hungry. Cous-Cous is enough for two really. Wife really liked the chicken pastry. We could hardly finish the meal, there was so much food. It is about 10-15 minute walk from Le Moulin Rouge.
