I am afraid, it must be 30% of the price tag (the angels' share, taxes etc.). Be aware that it is a concentrated stuff that has 58% alc., so with a few drops of water, it is the equivalent of 1 1/2 bottles of ordinary stuff.

Gonna have my birthday soon - could indulge it. If I understand it the way I do : it is 30% of the price (meaning about 200 €) or it is 30% off - meaning still 450 €...

In the event it is 200, how could I buy it ?

(no way I'd add water - I consider it a crime to put water or icecubes in my whisky )

Natural strength whiskys have all of the delicate aromas. When you dilute them with water, some of the aromatic molecules get solid and fall out and make the liquid cloudy. Therefore the diluted whiskys have to be cold-filtered to clear them. But with filtering, much of the aromas are wasted.

However, if you have a natural strength whisky at room temperature and you put a few drops of water into it, it will slightly warm up (by 2°C, due to a physical reaction) and the aromas will be even be more intense. But you have to drink quickly - after 30 minutes or so the aromatic molecules coagulate. But who lets a glass of whisky stand for 30 minutes?

The 22-year-old Springbank from a first-fill sherry cask is extremely smooth, yet aromatic, with flavours of orange peel and dark chocolate and just a slight hint of seabreeze. I can send it to you. 200 would include packaging and postage.
