You have had gelato in Florence and went "ehh"?

There's an Amorino in Verona.

OK, I must admit we did not get to Florence......I'm sure we missed the king of all gelatos but couldn't tear ourselves away from the smaller towns and cities!!! Any ideas for Venice.

Best?

Couldn't narrow it down. Here are four in different neighborhoods that I like:

Gelateria Alaska
S. Croce 1159, Calle Larga dei Bari

Gelateria Suso
San Marco 5453/A, Calle de la Bissa

Gelateria Il Doge
Dorsoduro 3058a, Campo Santa Margherita

Gelateria Ca’ D’Oro
Cannaregio 4273, Strada Nova just west of the Campo SS Apostoli

I liked Gelateria Paolin on Campo Santo Stefano. They also have a nice place to sit and enjoy it.

Gelateria Da Nico, is on the Zattere ai Gesuati, Dorsoduro 922. Their gelato was very good too.

Almost around the corner is Lo Squero, on Fondamenta Nani, nearly across from the Squero (alpinesque structure where gondole are repaired).

Finally, I really like Rosa Salva. There are several locations in Venice, but we visited the one on Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo. They also have a lovely place to sit and enjoy. You can check their website, www.rosasalva.it, for their other locations.
