Well I guess I have to apologize to everyone in Amsterdam that I rented a bike. However we found the experience wonderful and really had no trouble at all obeying traffic. I'm sure tourists are in the way no matter if you are walking or riding but I agree you do have to respect the "locals" and have some common sense.

Oops. "this summer". The exhibition runs till end of january 2018. So sorry.

Vondelpark was nice to ride through we went through on our way to find a Crossfit gym to get a t-shirt for my sister. We were there at Christmas so maybe the crowds were less but I did not find it exceptionally busy. We even stopped for lunch at the café. Just my experience.
