Berlin / Hannover accommodation / sites
Hello
We are going to Germany for about 10 days- Darmstadt, Frankfurt and Hannover. We were told we should also plan to stop by Berlin after Hannover. We plan on showing our son the reminisce of the wall. I don't know many other Must Sees in Berlin. (haven't had time to research yet, although have printed some info from users on here).
Our son is 11 yo but has hurt his foot and we have to travel with a wheelchair, therefore something close to the sites / restaurants would be great. We are looking for a 2 bedroom or two separate rooms in a nice hotel or hotel apartment. Wondering if anyone has some suggestions re accommodations, for Hannover and Berlin -- where should we look to stay if we want to stay somewhere that is close to sites or restaurants. . Please lmk, thanks you.

I know very little about Berlin, Lilly, but we'll be there in October so I was looking for hotels too. After much research and good help from fodorites I ended up booking at the Arcotel John F. It gets good reviews and seems to be in a good location for walking to sights and for restaurants. Here's the website:
https://www.arcotelhotels.com/de/john_f_hotel_berlin/
You can likely book one room or a small suite and get a cot for your son.
I don't have any personal experience yet to offer, just the results of my search.

Have you a reason to be in Frankfurt ? I was there yesterday and could not find it charming. Hanover has some small parts that are preserved and nice, but in Frankfurt I never found them.
Berlin hotels are cheap by Europeans standards, I usually splurge and last time we slept at the Radison blue (may have changed name) at Alexander Platz.
