Forgot to mention - you can also ski, dog sled, take pleasure flights and skydive in the area. I am up for the dog sledging and maybe a hot choc or mulled wine afterwards but I will leave the sports where you can fall over and break things to the rest of you

Dog sledding is an extremely tiring sport. You have to spend quite a bit of time running/pushing the sled to help the dogs go up the mountains/hills.

You'd be puking up the mountain

We did it in Sweden and it was a blast. One of the highlights of the whole trip. But it was an intense workout. I drove the sled up the mountain while Mrs. sparkchaser sat in the sled and she drove it down and I sat in the sled.

This is a really cool and detailed report! Thanks for posting it. If i meet anyone in my Prague program willing to go off the beaten track I may just try out some of these spots! I will be in Prague all of July so could hit this festival. Just narrowing down which places to go on my 3 free weekends Needless to say there is more on my list than I could possibly do

That sounds entirely appropriate, Mr S.
