Been to the caves or labyrinth in/under Budapest?

Wondering if these are worth going into - interesting or tacky?.

We went to them and they bordered on tacky.

Tacky, dull and not worth the trouble. Plenty more interesting things to see in Budapest.

We went and thought it fun. Then again besides 2 tourists from Germany we were the only ones down there so it was kind of spooky. I'd check them out.

Those of you who said "tacky," do you mean just the castle labyrinth, or the Palvolgyi and Szepvolgyi caves as well?

Why keep asking? If you go to Budapest, visit and form your own opinion. I enjoyed my visit, but your taste might differ.

I found the labyrinth interesting but not a "don't miss".

The free-flowing wine fountain near the end was most interesting. Certainly not the "Vinter's Choice" but what do you want for free?

re: "Why keep asking? ...visit and form your own opinion"

Well, I asked because the Palvogyi caves seem harder to get to by public transportation (subway plus 2 bus transfers), while the castle caves are right at the castle, so it would be helpful to know whether they're different enough to be worth the longer route.
