Bed and Breakfast suggestion for Cortona or Arezzo?

My co-worker and her Hubby will be in Tuscany this summer for 7 to 9 days, and are looking for a B+B or apartment with a kitchen or kitchenette, also, if possible, a wonderful view, and within walking distance to train stations, as the want to day trip. They will be booking from the states, and hope to have some other Fodorites good experiences as a guide in choosing a place to stay. Any help or suggestions?

No suggestion on a particular place to stay but, having been to both cities, I'd recommend choosing a place in Cortona. Arezzo is nice, and the sloping Piazza Grande is very picturesque...

...but, overall, I much preferred the look and feel of Cortona (even if it undoubtedly gets more tourists than lesser-known Arezzo.)

A highlight of our week in Tuscany was our time in Cortona, which was one of our favorite hill towns. I highly recommend the B&B we stayed in, Le Gelosie. The owner was delightful, the rooms/bathrooms are all brand new, service was excellent, and we considered it a bargain. We paid 85 euro for our double but his website says 95. Either way seems like a steal compared to some of our other accomodations at similar prices. The website is http://www.legelosie.com
Enjoy.

bcoover007,
Look at www.villadipaloma.com. It is an apt. with a full kitchen and is 10 min. outside of Arezzo.
