Beautiful villge of Evolène in Switzerland
In August this year, I visited the beautiful village of Evolène and the unique Pyramides d'Euseigne in Valais. Evolène is a very beautiful traditional village with many beautiful old houses and good restaurants. If you drive up to Evolène in the Val Hérens, you pass some of the most unique and geologically significant sights in the Alps. A visit is worthwhile in any case. I have captured my impressions of this excursion in this video:

Buses from Sion to Evolene - Les Hauderes - Arolla (villages along Walkers Haute route Chamonix - Verbier - Arolla - Grimentz - Zinal - Graechen - Zermatt) run every hour, all the year round.
There are also four different signmarked panoramic hiking trails from Sion to Evolene and three different signamrked panoramic hiking trails from Evolene to Grimentz (via Tsate Pass, Lona Pass orTorrrent Pass).
The winter sport area of Evolene (gondola, ski lifts) is between La Meina (2100 m) and Artsinol (2700 m).
