BEAUNE dinner advice
We would love a nice dinner (under 100 euro for 4) in Beaune on a Sunday night. It is our only dinner in Burgundy (an overnight stop on the way to southern France), and we'd like to eat within the town center.
[Tried Ma Cuisine, but it's closed Sundays.]
We're considering the following:
Le Bon Accueil
La Ciboulette
La Gourmandin
Caveau des Arches
Any advice is great appreciated!
Thank you!
Dina

We had lunch at La Gourmandin Sunday 2 weeks ago. There were 3 of us and I know we spent more than $100 but it wasn't too much more. I had the gambas with mashed potatoes (odd combo but it was good), hubby had the rabbit. I also had a green salad with shaved parmesan which was a little vinegary for my taste.

Hi ira,
Thanks for the link. Fun to read, but not that many Beaune restuarants mentioned.
oops-- only 2 are drinking wine... Forgot to mention that we're with our kids

Hi Linda,
Do you recommend La Gourmandin? Was it just good, or great? sounds like the price is fine...
Thanks,
Dina

Yes, I definately recommend it. We go to Beaune every year and always make a stop there. It recently changed hands but the food is still very good and (I think) a good value. It's usually a little lighter style than the typical burgundian fare but still hearty.
Another place we go often is La Rigalade (sp?). Hubby always gets the scrambled eggs with truffles and the frog legs. I love the scallops, also with truffles. If they happen to garnish the plate with a piece of parsley or something similar, eat it. It will be the only vegetable you're likley to get the whole night.

We were in Beaune the end of June and found a nice little restaurant with a prix fix dinner named Le Conty which would be in your price range but I see it is closed on Sunday's as well.
I googled it and found the following list:

La Ciboulette was very very nice but I don't know if you can keep it under 100 euros. It was my favorite restaurant in Beaune. I see it is closed from August 7 to 23. Here is the Michelin list:

It is a little walk from the town center but not far. I liked it better than Ma Cusine.
