Beaches in Nice

Alongside the Promenade Des Anglais there are spots people go in and find a spot. Most beaches along the French Riviera are peeble/rocky beaches, though. The closest I saw to a sandy beach was beaches in Cannes, St. Tropez, and Menton.

Please give the pebbled beach of Nice a try. My wife and I also thought we'd not use that beach, because it was not sandy. The Nice beach is actually quite nice (no pun intended) for several reasons.
1) The peebles are actually very smooth, pretty flat rocks, sanded through the ages by the surf. They're fine to walk on with bare feet.
2) Coming out of the water, you can easily, quickly dry off without having sand get over everything.
3) The sound of the pebbles, moving in/out of the surf is wonderful. Very soothing.
I think you'll be surprised at just how much you like the pebbled beach.
Just in case, however, there is a small section of the beach where sand is imported - It is not too far away from the Casino.
