B&B Kilkenny,Kenmare, and Shannon Airport Area

Six of us are traveling to Ireland in for a couple of weeks in early October. We have found B&B's in several areas but are having trouble finding inexpensive B&B's in 3 areas-- Kenmare, Kilkenny area, and somewhere close to Shannon Airport. Any suggestions?

SHANNON AIRPORT AREA

Bunratty Lodge - at the end of the road that the castle is on. Nice place, Mary Browne is the owner. As I recall it only took about 15 minutes to get to the airport, which is one of the reasons we chose to stay there!

Have a fun trip!

Bunratty is a good choice - it's just 10 minutes from the airport and there are plenty of B&B's to choose from with the added plus of two pubs in town - Dirty Nellys and MacNamara's.

We just stayed at the Ashgrove house

and Frank and Shelia were wonderful.

Bunratty, near Shannon, as others have said, we stayed in Dunaree BB and it was awesome. Think it was 32eu per person for a twin or double room.

In Kenmare, we stayed at Annagry House, which was 30eu pps. Though it was nice, you might find better.

Have you tried www.townandcountry.ie? Great website, and shows lots of places in these areas.. Just check them out, and there's prices as well as contact info or websites.

We have reservations for Park House in Bunratty for October, my emails were answered very speedily! Bunratty Lodge also gets great reviews, it's at the opposite end of the road from Durty Nellie's. (As someone just said, sorry!)

Carolina_girl, weren't Sheila and Frank terrific? We stayed there last spring. Sheila was like a mother hen! I liked having our own room entrance from outside, too.
