battle of bosworth

I will be traveling through England in June with my history-buff 16 year old son. Someone recommended we see the Battle of Bosworth field. Can anyone recommend a unique place to stay close to the site?

Thanks

The site is in the countryside between Leicester and Birmingham. I personally would not stay right there - but do it as a day trip from maybe Rutland Water/Oakham/Stamford, or from near Stratford-upon-Avon/Warwick

The above is assuming you will have a car . . . .

You may find some suggestions here - http://www.aboutbritain.com/hotels-n...s-bosworth.asp

The only one I've stayed at is Sedgebrook Hall, which I think is more of a conference centre than a hotel (we used to use it for off-site management meetings for a time). It's ok, but not "amazing" nor "unique".

Try www.hotelbosworthhall.co.uk
It's 2 minutes away from the battlefield.

My point wasn't that there are no places to stay nearby. I just personally would not stay there - I'd do a day trip from somewhere else like Warwick which has more reason to stay there..

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes, we will have a car and will actually be driving up to Scotland, so this is being planned as a stop along the way.
Finally settled on Bosworth Hall. Looks great, but has mixed reviews. We'll see. Thank you all again.

You are so fortunate to have a 16 year old who knows about the Battle of Bosworth!! Most Americans cannot find the state they were born in on a map, or pass the most rudimentary test of historical knowledge.
