DC to Lisbon = $750 Good Deal?
I am in the early stages of planning a trip to Lisbon/Algarve for next Easter. I was suprised to see there are decent flight options from DC at $750.
I always find this decision as to when to buy tickets a bit of a dilemma. One thing that could help me decide is know if that sounds like a decent price in the context of previous years.
Anyone have any thoughts?

You did not mention what airline offer that kind of fare and weather it was a non –stop flight or a connection was involved. For non-stop this is a really good deal considering the constant increase of the fuel surcharge. However, you need to check if that airfare is refundable in a case your change your plans later since you planning your trip for advance. In this instance I suggest you to use one of the tour operators, like. Escapade Vacations: www.escapadevacations.com or ATOP: http://www.atop.org/members11.html. They have special refundable airfares that can be hold for a period of time. They can also help you to book your entire trip, including accommodation, ground transportation and the sight seeing and save you money on a long run. Good luck with your planning!

$750 is a good deal for Easter time - non-stop or not.
If you leaving May 10 or later, US Air has seasonal non-stops leaving from Philadelphia (about 2 hours from the DC Capitol Beltway) for even less - in the $650-$700 range.

Thanks for the input. I will check out those web-sites.
This is probably crazy - but we have not in the past worried about the refundable thing.
Agreed - there are no non-stops from DC to Lisbon. I am looking at a one-stop through Newark.
That non-stop Philly option looks appealing - we could possibily drive up there. I wonder when they will 'post' those flights. Oh - wait - you said 'after May 10' - sounds like that won't be an option for us.
