Based in Burford, how to spend our time

Kelmscott is wonderful. The main problem is it will only be open on the day they drive from Bath to Burford and the day they drive from Burford to LHR -- so yes they could maybe squeeze it in but logistically would take planning.

I liked Kelmscott but I'm a fan of the Arts & Crafts movement. (Been to Buscot Park and the Red House also.) But I didn't think it quite so wonderful as Boveney and janisj did. Their accolades may set up others to be disappointed.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to say thanks! We had a lovely time in England last year. So many wonderful sights. One Cotswolds highlight, especially for husband, was Kelmscott--we fit in in on the drive from Bath to Burford. I'll post a trip report separately.
Cheers and thanks. NOLA

We stayed in Burford for four days, and what we enjoyed most was going on a circle walk through the fields past an old chapel to a village where the Mitford girls had lived. We went to the church where their family was buried and ate in a nearby pub. Then we walked back to Burford. It was a lovely day.
