Does anyone know how far this station is from Le Meridien hotel?

I don't know where Le Meridien hotel is but we stayed at the Ritz Carlton Arts hotel on the beach. We took a taxi to the station on the last morning to catch the train to France. It was about a 20 minute cab ride, if I remember correctly. It didn't seem too awfully far from the center of the city.

I don't where your hotel is either but if it helps you I can walk from the Sants station to Place Catalunya in about 20-25 minutes.

This may or may not help. It is from the hotels web site: http://www.lemeridien.com/spain/barc...l_es1601.shtml

Le Meridien Barcelona is 20 minutes by taxi from El Prat International Airport and a ten-minute drive to the A7 motorway to France. It is a few steps away from the city's main public transport lines and ten minutes
from Central Station.

Ok, "Central Station" is Barcelona Sants And Le Meridien is right in Las Ramblas so yes, it is about 10 minutes in a taxi.

If you do not get a taxi you can take the metro red line that will take you to plaza Catalunya or the green line to Liceo. Le Meridien is close to Las Ramblas, the most famous street averybody there know.

In any case, Sants station - Las Ramblas (where Meridien is situated) is not usually a waliking distance esp. with a heavy luggage.

As mentioned above, LeMeridien is ON Las Ramblas about 1/2 way between the Catalunya and Liceu Metro stops.
