El Gran Cafe - Carrer de Avinyó, 9. We had a delightful dinner here, loved the Escalivada appetizer.

"L'Oliva - Carrer Jovellanos 2 (around the corner from Hotel Inglaterra). Great 12E lunch menu, lots to choose from.
Cerveceria Catalana - Carrer de Mallorca 236. Great tapas, hopping spot. "

I'm not sure if I mentioned it earlier, but I'm in Barcelona already. I arrived earlier this morning, checked into the apt, waited for my sis-in-law to arrive, then had lunch and did grocery shopping. Then we had a nice long walk from the bottom (southern end) of Via Laietana along the waterfront all the way to Gehry's goldfish and back. Probably 3 miles r/t? It was nice as it helped to fight jet lag. Now off to bed and head to Montjuic tomorrow!

Enjoy Montjuic. The Miro Foundation is one of my favorites. MNAC is a lovely space. We were there last week and felt that we had the whole place to ourselves. Other than some school groups, it was pretty empty.

CaixaForum is OK. An hour or 2 should be more than enough.
