Banfi Castle

I just made reservations for lunch at the Banfi Castle and then a wine tour of their vineyard. Has anyone ever eaten there? The lady I have been emailing with from there is very nice.

Just bringing this to the top in case anyone who have been there missed it.

No, but I do know that their Castelo Banfi Brunello di Montalcino's are outstanding. To taste those would make the trip worthwhile!

Enjoy!

Yes, we did that in 1996. Allow 3 hours for lunch and bring your wallet, but it was very good. The winery is very modern

We just returned from Italy and had the dinner. I can't speak to the lunch, but the dinner was superb. I am a quasi-vegetarian (I eat fish) and they made substitutions for me with no problems - just let them know beforehand if you do have any dietary restrictions. Each of the courses were wonderful and the wines paired with them were excellent. Are you working with Annalisa? She is great - make sure you get detailed directions (we got a little lost).

We had lunch last June on a Saturday (no dinner or winery tours on Sat). Very good meal & superb wine pairings (sampled 97 Brunello amongst others). Rabbit stew was the main course that day.

You will enjoy . . .
