Thanks for the tip, Cigalechanta. It sounds as though the food is hit and miss. I check in 3 hours early always for int'l. too. But I will take my chances with the airline food.
The AF brochures used to advertise that they offer fine French cuisine onboard. Last time I flew them we got soggy cold crepes for breakfast.
I have one of their AF Holidays brochures and they don't mention that again-I wonder why.

on the return from CDG if you are fortunate enough to be in the new terminal there is an airport cafe at gate 22. It is on level below he terminal florr but you access it from the gate area. Go beyond the lone cafe by the shops....stock up on food at this place. They will sell you a full bottle of wine too.....
