Baby Rental in London
Well, not baby rental, but stuff for babies to rent for your vacation.
I saw this in Budget Travel magazine and thought it may be of interest to those traveling to London with babies and toddlers.

Oh, I got a little excited. I thought i could just rent and stroll in the park with a toddler in a tram for an afternoon.
janeg- do you know the old "pinch the baby" joke? A couple is admitted into a movie with their infant on the condition that if the baby cries, they can have their ticket money back, but they'll have to leave. 15 minutes into the movie, the wife leans to the husband and says, this movie is awful, to which the husbnd replies. "pinch the baby".

A friend did this (pinching their baby) while car shopping. It was during those horrendous negotiations and so they pinched, the baby cried...they said they must leave...and of course the dealership suddenly agreed to their price
We never had the nerve to try that though, lol!

A neighbor of mine used to pinch her baby when her husband was late coming home from work. Then she would tell him the baby knew he was late and missed him and to never let it happen again.
I would like to rent a London Baby, they are so cute with their little rosy cheeks from the frostbite.

Hey, I'm the "virgin with baby"
... figured I just had to post.
Actually, this looks like a good service... too bad we've already found the stuff we need but at least next time we'll know.
Monica, that's one sweet little doll baby. Love her fleece hat. What time of year was that where she needed the hat and such a poufy jacket. We're trying to decide which jacket to take with us for our 16 month old... one like your daughter has on in the photo, or just a lightweight rain coat we found at Target. We'll be there the first couple weeks in September.

That was in January when we went. The temps were hovering in the 40's and it was damp, and we Californians just can't take that kind of cold! Also, the puffy jacket was all I could find cheap--didn't want to buy a nice winter coat when she'd outgrow it long before she ever needed it again. If I were you I'd bring a fleece jacket or pullover and a lightweight rain jacket for your child. That way you'd cover all of your bases. Also, the Maclaren with the rain cover on creates kind of a little greenhouse in there and my daughter really liked it.

I got happy for a minute there that I too could rent a wee baby
