B&B problem

Caution.. B&B in Ireland that advertized on Gulliver travel. I booked with the Aishling House in Dublin, arrived on 4/05 for our one night stay. They had overbooked their B&B and sent us next door to their neighbors B&B. After spending some time on the internet to find a special place to stay to celebrate our 25th anniversary..We were sent next door to a dumpy B&B. Robert English the owner of Aishling House had even sent me a confirmation a couple of days before to confirm our stay, knowing that he was not available to accomodate us. He never informed me that we would be staying at the next door neighbor, and he told me he does this all the time. Just fair warning do not book with Aishling House in Dublin...

I could not find much on the web about it on a quick search. The road its located on is nice but I would post on Tripadvisor if you are unhappy and write a letter to them or complain to the Irish Tourist board. It's not good business practice and many over load their bookings in high season.

P.S. Clontarf is North of the city, nice walks down to the sea front as well.

Probably more expensive, but Clontarf Castle was a lovely place to stay. Actually, it was the same price as a b&b on St. Stephen's Green, and an easy bus ride into the center of Dublin.
