I will be spending 15 days in England this summer and would like to know what websites have been used (with success) to research B&amp;B's or small hotels. We haven't really established an itinerary yet, but I think we will concentrate on the southern part of the country on this trip. Any assistance would be appreciated!<BR>

We just found them as we went (it helps to keep a sharp eye out for the little &quot;B&amp;B&quot; signs by the roadside, and to stay off the main highways. This let us adjust our stay according to how we liked an area after we got there. The local tourist info center in most towns will also have listings and can check availability for you. This is easier if you aren't moving every night. We really enjoyed Devon and Cornwall (once you get used to driving the narrow lanes, and if you stay out of the tourist traps in Cornwall). <BR><BR>There are also a variety of books out there that list places; the problem is that when a description of a little 3-room B&amp;B goes in the book, it becomes very difficult to get reservations there.<BR><BR>Landmark Trust has a variety of quite interesting unique places for vacation rental if you will be staying in one place for a few days. To get a good description of their properties (want to stay in Hampton Court Palace?), you have to buy their guidebook (about $20); we found the book well worth the price just as entertaining reading. <BR><BR>
