Couple of questions for mada1978: do those aggressive hookers still hang around outside, and has the rat problem abated since the rash of attacks on guests? I assume the collapsed stairs have been repaired.

I can't believe the response I got to my ??? We will have stayed 1 week on the Amalfi coast and 1 week in tuscany and I just needed some good feedback on whether or not a B& B would be the best bet for our last night which will be in Rome. Any relevant thoughts would be appreciated.

I did not get DEGAS's questions! Why, have you been attached by hookers while you were in this area? I thought there were many rats in the Transtevere area but I now realize there are some on this site!!

soneedthistrip: You have had the worst luck w/ what should have been an easy question. Your first post had a - shall we say - "inadequate" title. So you re-post this totally reasonable replacement and it gets hijacked by mada1978 (who has since been banned by fodors)

Sorry - I can't answer your question - but I'm sure someone will soon. Good luck
