B&B in Rome

Has anyone stayed at B&B Domus Domas in Rome? Seems like a good location and great price, but I can’t find any reviews on it.

Alternatively, does anyone have any good hotel or B&B recommendations for Rome? Will be traveling as a couple middle of May 2012 and looking for rooms in the 70 - 90 euro range.

Never heard of it. That's a low budget for Rome. What amenities do you need and location?

I don't think it's a convenient location. I suggest staying on the other side of the Tiber. For your budget there are many choices in the perfectly acceptable Termini area for eg.

Don’t need much. Looking for private bathroom and bedroom, clean and in a safe area. AC would be a nice bonus.

Last Spring we stayed at the Royal House B&B, www.royalartcafe.it. It's a budget accomodation but it might be more than your price limits. I think we paid around $140US a night. We were quite pleased. They have rooms above the restaurant but the big plus was that our room had a fabulous view of the coliseum; the B&B is across the street from the coliseum. The Coliseum metro station is close so we found it easy to get around. The breakfast was poor but the room was large by European standards. We thought it was a "find" in that price category. They just have a few rooms so there might not be availability now for May.

It would help if you provided links to the properties. Or an address. Roma 'Central' or Roma 'Centro'?

Anyhoo, look into The Beehive:

and the Cross Pollinate website:

According to - http://www.romehoteldesk.com/hotel/4...l-roma.en.html - you have the use of a kitchen which helps cut costs. Breakfast is served next door not in house. Airconditioned, free wi fi and small but decent rooms all for €100.00 seems a fair rate.

Hello k_traveler, according to your budget, you can try AGV 2001 B&B, website www.agv2001.com - en-suite bathroom, a/c, wi-fi, located by Vatican Museums. Rates for the period, 85€ per night. Good luck.

Kickikicki, Would you mind elaborating on your experience with this rental company? I ask because, like the original poster ktraveler, we were thinking of a B&B. However, after looking at the website you suggested, we're now thinking maybe an apartment might be what we want. Their prices seem reasonable. Anything you can add about them will be helpful. Thanks.

Ktraveler, I hope you don't mind the intrusion into your thread. If so, I apologize. Hopefully it may be useful to you as well.
