B & B in Killeshandra

We plan to spend one night in Killeshandra Sept. 4. Has anyone stayed at Eonish Lodge, Glencloy House or Glencooneen House? Also does anyone have restaurant/pub recommendations for that evening? We will be arriving in Dublin about 2:30 that aft. and picking up a car there. I've heard that it is best to have a reservation for the first night.

Had to look this one up myself....

Seems it's in Co Cavan just west of Cavan itself, on the Croghan River. My Ordnance Survey map shows it being spelled as "Killashandra" though this web site has it as Killeshandra:

Since the town has less than 500 people in it you will be lucky indeed to find someone who's visited the places you asked about, jabo. Cavan is not exactly the #1 choice of most tourists. However, I am extrememly interested to hear what you thought of it!

Hope you find what you are looking for and that you post back here upon return.

Safe travels,

Wendy

Thanks, I realize this is not a tourist stop, but it was the home of relatives.
Took a chance that someone might know of it.
I'll post back when I return.

Killeshandra is actually a very pleasant, authentic small but busy town in Cavan.
You will enjoy it especially if your immigrant roots are there.
Bear in mind, however, it is quite a ride from Dublin airport - 4-5 hours!
