This B and B is in Provence (again, south of Paris is a large region), but it was glorious! Sometimes I just visit the web site to relive the magic! http://www.lamaison-a-bournissac.com/

Wonderful place, KimiG, but do you call that a B&B? When someone says B&B to me, I cringe, as I think of a couple who rent out a couple rooms in their house and serve breakfast around their kitchen or dining room table. I hate the idea. I don't enjoy staying with friends in their houses, so I really don't enjoy staying with strangers in their houses.
But if that place is what they call a B&B these days, I'm in!

Try the "Guides de charme" website: http://www.guidesdecharme.com/fr/index.asp?
It's the online version of a guidebook series published by Rivage, which lists charming hotels and B&Bs throughout France and some other European countries.
I've stayed in a few places listed on the site and they have all been lovely.
