I have a reservation w/ both companies above for a 2 week rental from Glasgow to London. Best rate with the latter. Does anyone have any reason to believe one would be better than the other? Thanks for any input......

I believe all of Europcar's vehicles have air-conditioning. Other than that, I've rented from both and both were fine.

I've rented from both in Dorset, certainly not big rental locations! Used to love Avis because they would deliver car to my dad's house in a little village, and pick up when I was done. But then the Weymouth office closed, so I switched to Europcar -- service has been good, cars ditto.

I say go with whichever is more convenient and has the best rate...

Did you check Autoeurope.com? They had the best rate for Ireland, and they used Europcar. I would give them a try -- nothing to lose.

Thanks to all for the input. Budman, AutoEurope is who I actually went through - they offered their best rate through Europcar. Sounds like they may well offer the best rates.

I've used both, and both are fine. Go with the cheapest.
