Avis Locations in Lyon

We want to drop off our Avis rental car at one of the train stations in Lyon and then take the train to Paris.

There are three stations....one at the airport, and the other two in central Lyon, the Gare Part Dieu and the Gare Perrache.

Which one would be the most convenient location to drop off the car and then take a train into central Paris?

Thanks for any advice.

I should add to my previous posted question that we are not staying in Lyon, but driving there from Beaujolais to drop the car and train to Paris.

Part Dieu is where the TGV departs from going to Paris Gare de Lyon (thus the name). The rental office is just outiside the station.

Just a few more details.

When I used it a few years ago it was on the north side of the tracks. there is a small sign and an open garage door. Just drive in to return the car.

Hi,
The TGVs from Lyon to Paris actually start from Perrache station and then stop at Part Dieu. So either station would be convenient in that respect.

However, I agree that Part Dieu might be easier when it comes to dropping off the car (lived in Lyon for a couple of years but always had problems navigating around Perrache station!).

Thanks all for the advice....I appreciate knowing that the Part Dieu would be an easier place to drop the car.
