I would like to take a bus from Avignon to Nice even I know many trains run between these 2 cities.

Any idea ? How long does it take ? And in Nice, where does it stop ?

In France, in my experience, there are no long-distance buses competing the railways. Why should anyone want to go by bus when it'll be quicker and more comfortable by train?

So far as I know, there is no bus service between Avignon and Nice. (Someone is welcome to correct me if I'm mistaken.)

I thought if there is any bus line between theses two cities, it would stop at Nice Gare Routère (bus terminal) in the center but I'm not sure. On the other hand, go to the following Nice Airport page and click on (Nice) Airport - Avignon Express (pdf file). Avignon > Nice Airport (terminal 1) is 08.30 > 13.20 and via Aix-en-Provence. I have done that route by train a few times so, I just might like to do it for a different view for a change. But 5 hours is a bit too long.
