Avignon-rental car pick up site?

We have reserved our car through Autoeurope and have arranged pick up at the Avignon Railstation Blvd. St Roch. Is it easier to pick up and depart from the TGV station? Is the railstation in close proximity to the TGV station. We will be heading out to St. Remy.

I've done both, and I personally think the TGV station is easier, for a couple of reasons.

First, the cars are kept on an open lot, rather than in a multi-story enclosed lot, making it that much easier to find and leave with your car.

Second, if you don't need to go into the heart of Avignon--which can be congested at times--why bother? The road that leads out from the TGV is kind of like a "periphique" or beltway and has good connections with roads that head out of Avignon in all directions.

Oh, and the railstation is in Avignon proper and the TGV station is on the outskirts so, no, they are not really in close proximity to each other.

I agree that the TGV station is the preferable location. You can get out of the lot more easily and it's a breeze to get out on the road to St-Rémy.

I like the TGV location for another reason also. There are long ramps going down into the parking lot where you pick up and leave cars. It is easy to grab a cart and roll all your stuff out to the car and back to the train.
It is a much easier set up that Blvd St. Roch in my opiniion.

Thanks to all. I've changed our reservation to the TGV station.
