Yeah OWJ, if I were going to be at your GTG I would vote for gnocchi also!! But guess my vote doesn't count! Sorry Meredith! I tried, LOL.

Hope all of you have a fantastic GTG!

LoveItaly--Your vote most definately counts if you came...OWJ2 and I have the room if you have the plane ticket...but of course with the deal you got last visit on Priceline, you may want the Grand Hyatt instead.

Hi OWJ....I wish I could be there with you! But I will have to take a raincheck. But thank you for the invitation. Now about the gnocchi, I love that dish!! Well if it is prepared properly that is. Have a friend that makes it and it is like trying to swallow sticky stones, LOL.
Take care. And I will be thinking of all of you on Sept. 17th.

Meredith and OWJ...I cannot see where Maggiano's offers gnocchi on the family style luncheon menu....but, if you can get them to prepare it...I'll vote for it.

Oh no, I think I was looking at the dinner, not lunch. Oh well - I'm sure I'll still leave Maggiano's content!

Hey Folks,
I posted this on the US board but wanted to send those Europhiles amongst us a reminder that our soiree' takes place a week from Sat.. Icceu2 and I are really looking forward to a good time and meeting anyone.

I need to get a final headcount to Maggiano's in the next couple of days and let them know what we will be pigging out on come the 17th. If you wouldn't mind, please shoot me a quick email verifying that you will attend--or can't...

Also, we plan to take pictures and later post them on the web. If you have any objections to that, please let iceeu2 and I know so that we don't blow your cover

OWJ

Hi all,
I live in Seattle now, but am currently building a home in Atlanta and moving back. Can't wait. Moved out here in 99 and really miss Atlanta. I won't make the Sept 17th GTG but hope there are future GTG's. Count me in once I am there!!!!

Maggiano's in Buckhead is one of my favorite places. That is where my "going away" party was when I left Atlanta.

Buon appetito, tutti!

Sorry (really am) but as I said back on the 13th, I cannot get out of another commitment, so I can't be there. I wanna come to the next one!
Have a great time!

This is a duplicate of the post I put on the US board in hopes that those who hang out here see my message!
---------
Hello!
Just walked in from our gathering at Maggiano's. It was swimmingly...food was great, Budbrew smooth and tasty (a big thank you, Budman!!), the poem Tiff sent us was a hit and *everyone* sooo nice! As OWJ2 said, it was a group of great, fun people and made for a really nice afternoon. Starrsville made an icebreaker but we were too busy yapping like old friends to really play--ooops

The one thing I would change is instead of sitting down at the table as people arrived is to try to have time/place where everyone could mix and mingle first. I didn't think meeting up at the bar would work b/c I worried about how we would recognize eachother. In retrospect, our handy dandy nametags would've been the clue. OWJ2 and I sat in the middle of the long table and found it hard to talk to the people at the far ends--imagine that those at opposite ends didn't really get to meet. Oh, well...stuff to remember for the next time.

There were 17 who RSVPed yes at the final headcount and everyone came. That was my worry--would anyone show or would I look like a lonely psycho searching for friends?? Turns out I had nothing to worry about!

Iceeu2's DH was the official photog, so guess she'll post them when she gets home tomorrow....And Tiff--I used your generous first round money towards the corkage fee and gave the rest to our very hardworking waiter. Hope that was ok!

Thanks to the editors for supplying us w/luggage tags which I know we'll be proud to use!

To all that came--a big thank you! I loved meeting you and hope to see you guys again soon!
