Assisi Overnight Stay

My wife and I will be spending one night in Assisi and we are looking for a nice, charming, centrally located, quaint, hotel. Price is not a concern. Does anyone have some good suggestions? Thanks.

We stayed at Hotel Berti in November and loved it. Being there off season did make the experience different. The hotel is located near the Basilicia san Francesco. The owner does not speak much English and we don't speak much Italian, but it wasn't a problem.
We were leaving too early the next morning for breakfast, so he made breakfast for us at 8pm that night. The TV in the lobby had on the Italian version of "Deal or No Deal" and it was just hysterical. That was the moment I felt like a guest instead of a tourist.

Also, make sure to eat at Osteria Piazzetta dell'Erba. It was one of the best we ate at in Italy.

We stayed at Hotel Umbra in Assisi...very close to the main piazza, and they had a beautiful roof top deck. Great restaurant as well. I would highly recommend it.

Another vote for Hotel Umbra...great central location and enjoyed our stay there a couple of years ago. We stayed at Hole Sole this last Feb. because the Hotel Umbra was closed during that time. Hotel Sole was very simple but clean and nice for a really low price. Would stay at either again because of their location.

We have stayed 3 different times in 3 different rooms at the Residenza d'Epoca San Crispo and look forward to going back until we've collected them all. Very unique and lovely property in a convenient location.
