Assisi - finding a hotel with good Umbrian view

For all who have stayed in Assisi, I would like to ask which hotels have rooms with good view. Assisi is on a slope, and I am looking for a room which can overlook the hill (and room # of the hotel if possible). Suggestions are appreciated.

On another note, does the bus to/from train station has enough cargo space for large luggage? How late do they service at night?

Thanks in advance.

The Fontebella fits that bill for sure. Sorry I cannot quote you a room number. You'll find their e-mail address at http://www.fontebella.com/english.htm - - just write and indicate that you want a roon with a nice view over the vally down below.

Best wishes,

Rex

Good morning, Have staye at the HOTEL GIOTTO and the HOTEL WINDSOR SAVOIA over the years and both had fine
views to the West. Prefer the Windsor
Savoia, is much older but has some very good vibes for pleasantness, very
good service, food is also pretty good.

Great. Thanks for the response. How about Hotel Ideale? It seems to be overlooking for the top of the hill on the map.

and how about the cargo space for local buses? Anybody has experience with that?

Thank you.
