Asian Adventure?

Hello- I am a 50yo single woman wh's friend just backed out of a summer trip- I am apprehensive about traveling solo to the East. Can anyone recommend a reliable/appropriate tour group/agency?
Many thanks!

East is east, and west is west..... Where is "east" for you, Azul? Which country?

I think you'll be fine. I visited Saigon last year and Halong Bay (don't miss) in Vietnam, and I love Thailand. Some great beaches there. I am going to Beijing this week and am excited. I live in S.Korea until next year when I return to my home in US. There are so many tourists everywhere. Just stay in tourist areas, nothing remote, and you'll be fine. I loved Seim REap Cambodia. Unbelievable place! Have fun!

Strangely enough, I find it easier in certain ways to travel alone in Asia than in Europe. In Asia you are an obvious tourist in many countries and poeple will often go out of their way to help more than they might in Europe. This also makes it easier to hook up with fellow travelers if that is your wish, for meals, for example.

I can't help you with a tour group but I can give you encouragement for travling solo; it is supremely easy in many Asian countries including Vietnam and Cambodia.

Koreaprincess, I just realized the reason for your screen name (I know, I am a little slow sometimes!) If you don't mind my asking, are you based in Seoul? I am headed that way in a few weeks........

Azul,

Pacific Delight Tours has many tours. We did the China Imperial Experience - Historic Cities and Yangtze River Tour; and it was great. Our group was 16 people and only 2 married couples in the group. It would be comfortable for a single woman.
