Ascona

Hi

is the village flat or uphill? I mean the lake promonade, walking to center , especially from hotel den roc

the same question for Locarno especially from belvedere hotel and villa Orselina.

Ascona is flat and certainly not closed in September. Eden Rock hotel is on the lake shore.

Orseilina is ABOVE Locarno (pnaoramic views) and cannot be flat. That doesn't mean that you will have to climb up, however. There is a rope railway running more or less continuously between Locarno and Orselina. There is furthermore a citybus line.
Hotel Belvedere is a few steps from the rope railway stop Belvedere.
Villa Orselina Resort is a few steps from the rope railway stop Orselina

Thanks very much for your reply!
as for villa orsolina the rope railway and the citybus. Do you know it is right on the entrance of the hotel? Walking uphill around 1-2 minutes or around 10-15 minutes?

Do you think it is better to stay in villa orsolina or maybe hotel Eden roc - I mean in respect of views, hotel itself and close to center? Just can not decide between those two.
