This is suppose to be a national holiday.<BR>Catholic holiday. Will things be closed in<BR>Paris that day?

It's a school holiday, so many museums are actually packed with kids. Some things will be closed. Not all that many.<BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>

Ascension is always a Thursday; this year it is May 9.

It appears some museums, etc. are closed both May 8 and 9th, either as part of V-E day celebrations, or for Ascension. If there are certain museums you are especially interested in seeing, I would visit their individual websites & see what they say. The Louvre is open both days, as is the Musee D'Orsay.
