Has anyone used vacationplus.net or londoncraigslist.co.uk to rent a flat when staying in London. Their prices are considerably lower. We found a place on #15 De Vere Gardens,
> Kensington - just wondering what we might be getting ourselves into.

I'd never EVER use craigslist (<B>EVER</B
and haven't heard of vacationplus (which doesn't mean much one way or the other).
If you want to go that way -- vrbo or homelidays at least have some sort of insurance that the properties actually exist.

Oh - just noticed dobsonde isn't the OP.
Dobsonde: Your question is completely different than wordsmith's. It would be better to start your own thread instead of us highjacking wordsmith's.
Wordsmith: Knightsbridge is 'central' - but so are many other neighborhoods. Mostly depends on the sort of vibe you want, and your budget. Knightsbridge tends to have high to very high end accommodations.
