Are there any Europeans in here?

I was just wondering how many Europeans post here?

Everyone seems to be in the States, am I the only Brit?

Just seems a shame that more Europeans don't use this great facility.

Tat - Hmm guess the language barrier will be a bit of an issue for many Europeans - although quite a few of them speak better English than us Brits.

This is a German born in Heidelberg and now saying HI from Cologne...

I found this forum after I had come across the US one while doing research for our 3 week trip last year. And then I decided to become active on the Europe board to give something back for all the great advice and info I got.

Now I'm switching back and forth since we've decided to spend another 3 weeks in the US this summer.

I was wondering the same thing, except I was wondering about more than just Europeans. I live in South Africa, are there any more of us?
bbib where in the uk are you? Have you ever had a fodors get-together like the Americans have? I would love to meet some folk when I am over there.

Mischka - I live 20 mins from London - although I have not been here long, I used to live in Jersey. That's Jersey in the Channel Isles and not New Jersey.

No, I don't know of any get togethers, but then I am pretty new - only been around for a year.

I found the site the same as Kascha912, whilst planning a trip to the states last year.

bbib, there are several other Brits who are regular posters, Ben Haines and Sheila Ritchie, to name two.

I just got a direct email via the Asia board from a Norwegian who is married to a South African. There are definitely other Europeans (Italian, Turkish, French) who post here regularly, and on the Asia board there are posters from Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and an American who lives in Shanghai.

There was a post several years ago asking where people were born and where they lived now. It grew to hundreds of replies and the geographical range was global. I was new to fodors and quite astounded by the replies.

Hi bbib,
I've always wanted to visit the Channel Isles, but never have enough time when I'm over there... don't get over as much as I used to
My daughter lived 20 minutes from London (St. Albans) for a year, I loved it and I visited soooo much that now it feels like a second home, can't wait to get back in March/April when I am over there.
We should really think about getting everyone together for a drink or something. I know there are loads of people in London when I am there and it would be lovely to meet some of the folk from the USA and UK and it would be a real bonus if there were some from other continents too, AND a big bonus would be to meet Ben Haines, great guy I think!
